Spiros Vasiliadis

Economist, graduate of the University of Piraeus and also holds an MSc in Insurance and Risk Management from the City University Business School. His professional experience begins on March 1999, in the insurance sector, where he was occupied as an insurance and investment consultant, and he was involved, especially, in the promotion of insurance and investment products of ING Group. From December 2003 to April 2005 he worked at Prudential Ltd, Consulting Firm, as an assistant actuary, with core duties the provision of actuarial valuations and forecasts within the specific context of the main accounting standards (such as IAS/IFRS, FAS) concerning liabilities derived from the provisions of termination benefits (such as Law 2112/1920), or from any other post defined benefit employee plan (e.g. pension, medical care). Additionally, he contributed to the establishment and operation of the first occupational fund in Greece, which was the occupational fund of Ministry of Finance. He was responsible for the administrational support, for the planning of the provided benefits, for the statistical elaboration of the occupational fund’s data and in general he was monitoring the overall operation of the fund. From April 2005 to September 2013, he was General Director in various Agencies of Corfu Municipality, with main responsibility the overall operation of the Enterprise. Also, during this period he materialized a great number of European and National funding programmes, where final beneficiary was either the Agencies or the Corfu Municipality. Through, this position he has participated in many conferences with subject the local development where he was an invited speaker in many of them. Since 2016, he is Managing Director and Partner of Living Prospects Ltd.
