Project Description

“STAR” project is co-funded under the European Territorial Cooperation Programme «IPA Adriatic 2007-2013». It aims at creating a common network for the collection of tourist statistical data between the following countries: Greece, Italy, Croatia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina, aiming at achieving further development of tourism in the Adriatic regions.

The total project budget is 1.843.583 euros (co-funded by the ERDF 85% - 1.567.045,55 €) while the project partners are the following: the provinces of Emilia Romagna (Lead Partner), Abruzzo, Veneto and Rimini (Italy), the Region of Ionian Islands / Regional Unit of Corfu (Greece), the Regional Council of Durres (Albania), the Business Center of Zenica-Doboj (Bosnia and Herzegovina), the tourism and hospitality management school in Opatjia (Croatia), the statistical information system of the Region of Marche and the cooperative Tourism of Puglia agents and the Puglia Region (Italy).

Description of Provided Services

The scope of the services provided to the Contracting Authority (through a subcontract undertaken by ETAM S.A.) is to support the contractor by providing the following external consultant services:
  • Group of Activities I: Transboundary Project management and coordination (WP1)
  • Group of Activities II: Communication and dissemination of results (WP2)
  • Group of Activities III: Technical support for the implementation of the project (WP3: Sharing of knowledge in the tourism sector in the Adriatic region. WP4: Accessible tourism network in the Adriatic region, WP5: Cooperation: Exercise operations involving tourism companies, tourism industry associations and public administration).
